DIGITAL knitting
This creative scholarship centers on the use of digital knitting technology as a tool to advance creativity and problem solving, as well as how it can be used in a creative design workflow alongside additional digital and physical tools and materials.

Digital knitting offers the opportunity to design both the textile and product. This capability lends itself to solving many problems at once, and the bra product has many problems: textile comfort, fit comfort, and cost due to the many materials and inefficient and wasteful shapes cut from these materials. This study work towards a solution to these problems using digital knitting, 3D design tools, and materials and knit structure study.
Knit surface design
Aesthetically pleasing and fluid design is executed differently in knit design, as it is incorporated into a shaped textile. Creating shape in the textile and design simultaneously can be improved with the use of a wider toolbox including Procreate, Illustrator, and digital knit software Create+. Additionally, the work of creating these designs can be time-consuming, and use of modularity is applied to maximize creative application of these designs.
